This move was inevitable as Lukaku was destined for a Chelsea move before manager Jose Mourinho plucked him away from the Blues for an astonishing £75 million.
Three years ago, Mourinho sold Lukaku to Everton as Chelsea boss, but fast forward to 2017, the Belgian international could possibly be missing piece that gets United back in the driver seat.Although Paul Pogba is the future, Lukaku can certainly be what Wayne Rooney was for Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 24-year-old will have a tough task filling in for the club’s all-time leading scorer Rooney and the injured Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The prolific striker goal scoring ratio at Everton indicates he is ready for the grand stage.“I always wanted to play for a club of this stature.
